Josue Ortiz is a Director at ClearViewIP where he advises clients on IP strategy and IP transactions. As part of his role as a Director of the company, Josue runs ClearViewIP’s Transaction Advisory service line. Josue’s international client base includes several FTSE-100 and Fortune-500 companies as well as some of the most prominent companies worldwide from an IP perspective. His transaction and valuation track records include buy-side and sell-side engagements, comprising the full range of registered and unregistered IP rights in a diverse set of commercial settings, from auctions to private processes, to contentious situations.
Josue’s IP career has spun over 18 years while based in London, Philadelphia and Mexico City. Prior to joining ClearViewIP, Josue was Founder and Managing Director of Transtellum, an IP Business Consultancy firm, until December 2011. Transtellum specialised in IP acquisitions and disposals, including on behalf of a London-based Private Equity fund with more than $4 billion under management. Before founding Transtellum, Josue spent seven years with BTG International in the USA and the UK where he was part of the team that spun-out BTG’s physical sciences assets.
Josue holds a B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, an M.S.E in Telecommunications and Networking from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A from IPADE Business School in Mexico City. He is listed in the IAM300 list of the world’s leading IP strategists.
