ClearViewIP are delighted to announce our successful bid to be the Commercial Partner for the University of Liverpool’s IP commercialisation activities.
The University of Liverpool is one of the great centres of research and a member of the Russell Group which represents the 24 leading UK universities; as well as a member of the N8 Research Partnership – a collaboration of the eight most research intensive universities in Northern England.
The University of Liverpool has a strong portfolio of IP across both the Health & Life Sciences as well as Science & Engineering sectors. In particular, the University has made significant steps forward in the areas of Oncology and Chemistry. Working in partnership, ClearViewIP are able to deploy a broad range of expertise covering all aspects of the University’s research activities, and are looking forward to being a part of the successful commercialisation of some world-leading research.
ClearViewIP will support the identification, capture and commercialisation of IP across all disciplines: from implementing an effective IP strategy and strategically managing the portfolio, to assisting with IP transactions – whether that be through licensing, sales, or as part of a spin-out. Exploitation of the University’s IP through commercialisation will be the primary focus, with ClearViewIP applying their wealth of transactional experience to bring deal-making to the party.
Consultancy Services Director Peter Beynon will be heading up the project. He brings extensive experience of IP commercialisation, from his previous work at BTG; and also as Entrepreneur in Residence, when he led the formation and funding of the Imperial College spinout EVO Electric Ltd.
With over 75 years’ accumulated experience between the Board of Directors, supported by a team of highly-skilled IP Consultants and Technology Analysts, ClearViewIP are ideally placed to bring an objective and commercially focused approach to this role, and are pleased to have been selected as the winning candidate by the University.
