It is hard to believe it has been 12 months since announcing that ClearViewIP's Directors had
scored a hat trick as acclaimed international IP strategists, but we are pleased to announce that
Managing Director Jon Calvert and
Commercialisation Director Colin Hunsley have once again been recognised by the IAM 300 as leading intellectual property strategists - now for the fourth consecutive year!
Every year,
Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) releases their list of the Top 300 IP Strategists worldwide, anonymously nominated by their peers and reviewed by a panel of experts, assessing each individual's continuing contributions to IP strategy.
Jon founded
ClearViewIP in 2007, having recognised the increasing importance and value of intellectual property in technology businesses and the emergence of intellectual property as an asset class in its own right. He then later went on to become co-founder of
INTIPSA (The International IP Strategists Association), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and educating the IP strategy community.
Colin has championed
IP strategy across many organisations throughout his career, having previously been Chairman of the Medical Engineering Division of the Institution of
Mechanical Engineers and having engaged in a number of speaking positions for organisations including Shanghai International Property Forum,
The Patent Office of The Republic of Poland, Kaplan Hawkesmere, CIPA, PraxisUnico and IEEPI.
It has certainly been a great month for Colin, who has also just been
elected as Vice President of the Licensing Executives Society for Britain & Ireland, having been recognised for his expertise and continued dedication to the society.
With both Jon and Colin's ongoing contributions to IP strategy on a global scale, it is rewarding to see them once again publically recognised by their fellows.
IAM will be distributing copies of the IAM 300 and the latest edition of their magazine at IPBC 2014, commencing this weekend in Amsterdam. Jon Calvert will be in attendance.
