Kathryn Rickard combines her thorough and practical knowledge of engineering development and intellectual property to help our clients understand how IP can help them build and protect the value of their technology.
She manages a team of Analysts and Consultants who work with clients to assess how their technology relates to the rest of the market from an IP dimension, intelligently using a variety of research and analysis techniques. The analytic strengths of the team, combining expertise in a range of technologies with experience and training in management and application of IP to the commercial world, brings a unique capability which underpins ClearViewIP’s range of services. Kathryn provides oversight of project delivery to ensure timely and accurate insights are provided that meet the individual requirements of each client.
Before joining ClearViewIP, Kathryn was Intellectual Property Manager for Xyratex where she was responsible for the IP processes, management systems, strategy, and education. Prior to this, Kathryn spent 19 years as a senior hardware development engineer for Xyratex and IBM specialising in networking and video technologies.
Kathryn has an MA in engineering from the University of Cambridge. She has 7 granted patents.
